Easy Air Fryer Pizza Rolls Recipe

With a crisp, flaky “crust” and cheesy, saucy filling, homemade pizza rolls always hit the spot! These pizza rolls are almost like pizza pockets—crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.

Have fun experimenting with different filling combinations! Use your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings to create one-of-a-kind pizza rolls. I love adding diced green peppers and mini pepperoni to mine.

  • Very lightly brush the edges of each wonton wrapper with water. Fold 2 opposite corners of the wrapper into the center, then fold the remaining 2 corners over the top of the first 2. This should create a square shape with the filling fully contained inside. Repeat until all pizza rolls are shaped.
  • Working in batches, place the pizza rolls seam-side down into the air fryer. Make sure not to overcrowd the basket.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the egg and water together. Brush the tops of the pizza rolls with the egg wash. 1 large egg, 1 tsp water
  • Cook the pizza rolls at 400°F for 8-10 minutes or until the pizza rolls are golden brown. Repeat until all pizza rolls are cooked and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
  • To keep cooked pizza rolls warm while the remaining rolls finish cooking, place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a 250°F oven for up to 30 minutes.
  • Serve with assorted dipping sauces like marinara, pesto, ranch, or hot sauce.

Becky’s Tips

  • Cook these pizza rolls in batches to ensure the rolls stay crispy. If the air fryer basket is overcrowded, the pizza rolls will steam instead of fry.
  • Add your favorite pizza toppings to these pizza rolls. Some ideas include mini pepperoni, cooked sausage, pineapple, chopped roasted vegetables , fresh basil, or a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or garlic powder.
  • Wonton wrappers are available in the refrigerated section of most grocery stores near the tofu.

Serving Suggestions

Serve these crispy air fryer pizza rolls alongside a tangy marinara sauce that perfectly complements their cheesy, savory filling. For a cool, creamy contrast, ranch dressing is always a crowd-pleaser. Feeling adventurous? Try dipping them in a fresh, homemade pesto for an herby twist that adds a burst of flavor with every bite.
