What could be better than a Margarita mixed with beer? Easy Beergaritas are the perfect 3-ingredient drink for enjoying (or suffering through) the Super Bowl!

Beergarita Recipe
You only need 3 ingredients to make this amazing drink! There’s nothing I like better than an easy cocktail I can throw together so I don’t miss a thing while watching the game.
Not only are these beer margaritas easy to throw together, but they are endlessly riffable! I sometimes swap half of the limeade concentrate for other concentrates like orange juice, pink lemonade, grapefruit, or raspberry lemonade. For more fruit flavor, I’ll mix in mango or guava nectar. I’ve also been known to whip up a batch of spicy beergaritas, with a diced jalapeño.
Choosing the right tequila
I find that silver, or blanco, tequila is the best for margaritas as the tequila hasn’t been aged as long and has a stronger flavor that mixes well. Gold tequila has been aged for longer and has a woodier flavor that doesn’t pair as well with the fresh fruit flavors. Reposado tequila is a type of gold tequila that has not been aged for as long, so it will also work in a margarita, although it is not my first choice.

How to Make Beer Margaritas Step by Step

Make the limeade: Prepare the 12 ounces of frozen limeade according to package directions (usually you add 4½ cans of water).

Add beer and tequila: Stir in the 16 ounces of light beer and 3/4 cup of tequila. Use more or less tequila to taste.

Coat the rim of the glasses: Dip the top of each margarita glass in water (or use a lime wedge to coat the top of the glass in lime juice) and then in salt to create the salt rim.

Garnish and enjoy: Serve over ice with lime wedges as garnish. Enjoy!
How to Store
You can prep these beer margaritas up to 1 day in advance of when you plan to serve them. Simply stir all of the ingredients together (but don’t add any ice!) and chill in the refrigerator. Store leftover beergarita mix in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
For longer storage, you can freeze these beer margaritas. Because they contain alcohol, they will not freeze solid. You can store them in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Let thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
Serving Suggestions
These beer margaritas are even better when paired with the best appetizers and Mexican food! Serve yours with a beer cheese dip , a platter of sheet pan chicken nachos , or for a hardier appetizer, make a batch of baked chicken wings .
