5-Star Review
“This is such an amazing drink! My new favorite this summer!” – Toni
Easy Blue Margarita Recipe
I just love a vibrant and colorful cocktail, and these delicious blue margaritas are just that! Just look at them! Margaritas are one of my go-to cocktails when it starts to get hot outside. They are so refreshing with that perfect mix of sweet, salt, and acid. In this recipe, a traditional margarita gets amped up with Blue Curacao for the ultimate summer time tipple!
Tips for Beginners
- High-quality ingredients . Use a high quality blanco tequila and a good Blue Curacao. BOLS is absolutely second to none!
- Use fresh lime juice —it makes all the difference.
- Shake well. Shake all of the ingredients for a good 20-30 seconds to ensure they are mixed well.
- Use large ice cubes . They melt less quickly so they don’t dilute the drink.
- Avoid table salt. It is iodized and too strong for this cocktail.
Ingredients1x2x3x
- ▢ 1 cup Tequila Blanco
- ▢ ½ cup BOLS Liqueur Blue Curacao
- ▢ ½ cup fresh Lime Juice
- ▢ ¼ cup simple syrup
- ▢ coarse sea salt and lime wedges for serving

Instructions
- Swipe rim of 3 glasses with a lime wedge and then dip in course sea salt to rim glasses with salt.
- Fill glasses with ice.
- In a shaker combine the Tequila, Blue Curacao, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake to combine.
- Pour over the ice and enjoy! Top with additional lime wedges.
Becky’s Tips
- Other salt options to try: Kosher salt has large granules but a milder flavor Himalayan pink salt adds color to your rim with a very mild flavor Fleur de sel is a more complex flavor (and quite expensive!)

How to Make Blue Margaritas Step by Step

Add ice: Fill glasses with ice.

Add remaining ingredients : In a shaker, combine 1 cup tequila, ½ cup Blue Curacao, ½ cup lime juice, and ¼ cup simple syrup. Shake to combine.

Pour over the ice : Pour over the ice and enjoy! Top with additional lime wedges.
How to Store
These cocktails are best served as soon as you pour them. If you wanted to get a head start, you could combine the liquor and store it in the fridge for 2-3 days. Give it a good stir before pouring into the glasses and adding ice.

Serving Suggestions
These cool and refreshing margaritas always go well with a few nibbles like Crockpot Chex Mix , a bowl of roasted red pepper hummus with fresh veggies, and tortilla pinwheels .
