Texas Toast Garlic Bread Recipe
I absolutely love garlic bread of all kinds, whether it’s made with Italian Bread or baked in the form of roll ups . But my all-time favorite is Texas Toast. The larger slices of bread mean more room for all that garlic and cheese goodness!
This homemade Texas Toast recipe is so much better than frozen and delivers delicious garlicky flavors with each bite! I use chunky garlic paste, which takes the work out of using garlic. I’ve also used these toasts to make pizza and my BLT Sandwich !

How to Store
You can store Texas Toast garlic bread for 1 week in the fridge. Place them in an airtight container and refrigerate. Reheat in the microwave or pop in the oven for 5-8 min at 350°F.
If planning ahead , stop once you spread the cheese/mayo mixture on each slice. Space them in a baking sheet and freeze for 2 hours. Wrap each slice in plastic wrap and transfer to a freezer-friendly bag. Store for up to 3 months. No need to thaw, just put them in the oven at 350°F and bake for 15-20 minutes. Keep a close eye after 15 minutes.
Freezing after baking : Once all the slices are baked, let them cool at room temperature. Wrap them separately with plastic wrap and store in an airtight container and freeze. They are already baked, so thaw overnight in the refrigerator and microwave to reheat them.
Serving Suggestions
Texas Toast is MADE for BBQ. I love serving these with my BBQ ribs or BBQ brisket , with a side of potatoes . This cheesy garlic bread also makes one delicious side dish to serve with all your favorite soups .
