Recently I was brainstorming with mom about this holiday season and she came up with the idea to make Cheesy Cornbread Drop Biscuits. My naive little mind was like WHAT? That sounds amazing! Garlic and cheese combined with cornbread mix, to make one easy cornbread recipe perfect for the holidays.

Did you know you can make biscuits just by dropping some dough on a cookie sheet and baking them? Yup, it blew my mind, but drop biscuits are a thing and they’re so easy to make! I’m no baker, as you guys might know, but these Cheesy Cornbread Drop Biscuits are easy even for my standards. You’ll look like the queen or king of your kitchen, you’ll wow your guests and make them happy and full, and all the while it can be your little secret how simple they really were. Cheese, garlic, and cornbread mix, what a FABULOUS flavor combination!

How to Make Cheesy Cornbread Drop Biscuits

Garlicy, cheesy cornbread drop biscuits are just too good. I love making up a batch of these for the holidays, but they’re just as good for any weeknight dinner. There is no fuss with this easy cornbread recipe; just cornbread mix, cheese, and garlic mixed together, dropped onto a baking sheet, and baked to perfection!

How to make Garlic Cheesy Cornbread Drop Biscuits:

  1. Combine shredded cheese, cornbread mix, and garlic powder in a bowl, then stir in milk.
  2. Take (heaping) tablespoon size portions and drop it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Brush each biscuits with melted butter, parsley, and sea salt.
  4. Bake 13-15 minutes at 400°F.

These cheesy cornbread biscuits are delicious served hot or cold, but I’m partial to hot. Warm and just out of the oven, that’s the ticket. Since they’re so easy, they should be no trouble to add to your Thanksgiving menu!

  • Drop by heaping tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush biscuits with melted butter, dried parsley and a scant sprinkling of salt. 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, Sea salt, 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • Bake 13-15 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom.
  • Remove from oven. Serve immediately or transfer to cooling rack until ready to serve.

Essential Grocery List

It’s so helpful to have a basic grocery list to help me remember which foods to buy at the store. This food shopping list is my go-to!

It’s better to stock up on things like grains, seasonings and spices, baking essentials, oils, condiments, canned and frozen foods, etc. so I can just grab them when I need them. These things have a long shelf life , so I keep them in my kitchen for convenience.

However, I do have to go to the supermarket sometimes, and there’s a way to make that trip easy and hassle-free: I keep a grocery list! If I go in blindly, I’ll leave with things I don’t need, and nothing that actually helps me prepare a good meal.

In the list below, I’ve compiled everything I always have on my stock-up grocery list.
