Easy Mexican Spice Cheese Crackers Recipe
Being a food blogger is all about self control. My days consist of being immersed in recipe after recipe, cocktail after cocktail. A lot of times, I’ll make small batch versions of the recipes I test, or I’ll make the drinks with tiny amounts of alcohol to make sure they taste right.
Usually I’m good at the self control…but not today. Today I made these Mexican spice cheese crackers. Today I made a lot of them. Let’s just say that there won’t be any left for Pat to sample. Oops…I’m not to blame. They’re just that good.
They have my three favorite things.—cheese, cilantro, and taco seasoning. Yep, just three ingredients are standing between you and total addiction. Just looking at the pictures, I’m contemplating making more. Someone, please, send help!

- Preheat oven to 250°F.
- In a large bowl, use your hands to mix oil and crackers, coating the crackers completely. Add the taco seasoning and cilantro and mix until well combined. Take care not to break the crackers as you mix with your hands. 1 13.7 oz. box White Cheddar Cheez-It, ¼ cup canola oil, 1 1-oz. package taco seasoning, 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
- Spread crackers out evenly on a large baking tray. Cook for 20 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
- Store in an airtight container or resealable bag.
Becky’s Tips

How to Make Mexican Spice Cheese Crackers Step by Step
Get the oven going: Preheat oven to 250°F.
Combine crackers and seasoning : In a large bowl, use your hands to mix ¼ cup oil and crackers, coating the crackers completely. Add the taco seasoning and 2 tbsp cilantro and mix until well combined. Take care not to break the crackers as you mix with your hands.
Cook crackers : Spread crackers out evenly on a large baking tray. Cook for 20 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.

Store or serve: Store in an air-tight container or resealable bag.
How to Store
Once your Mexican spice cheese crackers have cooled, store them in an airtight container or sealable jar. They will keep for a couple of days at room temperature.
They will still be good to eat after this time, but won’t be as crispy. To crisp them back up, pop them on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.

Serving Suggestions
These crackers are totally addictive by themselves, but they are great to serve with your favorite Mexican dips too. Try them with creamy homemade guacamole , fresh and tart pico de gallo , or even this tasty Mexican street corn salsa .
