5-Star Review

“YES! Pears are my favorite thing about fall (way more than pumpkin, I have to admit!). I basically consume pounds and pounds of Bartlett pears each year. This tart is fantastic! I’m such a fan of puff pastry! So great to have on hand.” -Laura

Easy Pear Tart Recipe

Apples always steal the spotlight in the fall, but I think pears are also a great seasonal fruit that deserve some love. With only 5 ingredients, this simple yet elegant tart comes together in minutes. So, the next time you reach for the apples, consider switching it up and using pears instead. You won’t be disappointed. You can use any type of pears you like. I find that Bosc and Anjou pears work great for baking, but whatever you have on hand or find at the store will work.

Becky’s Tips

  • Slice the pears thinly so they cook all the way through and sit nicely on the pastry.
  • You don’t need ripe pears. Under-ripe pears tend to hold their shape better when cooking at high temperatures.

While vanilla ice cream and pecans are my favorite accompaniments for this pear tart, you can always feel free to get creative! Use candied pecans for even more sweetness or pumpkin ice cream for additional fall flavor.
