If there’s one thing I can never resist on game day—or honestly, any day—it’s a tray of crispy, golden-baked Ranch Chicken Wings. These wings are packed with bold, savory ranch flavor in every bite, thanks to a generous coating of ranch seasoning and a simple oven-baked method that keeps things easy. No deep fryer required—just chicken wings, olive oil, your favorite ranch seasoning, and a hot oven.

Oven Baked Chicken Wings
I’ve been making my lemon pepper wings on repeat—they’re refreshing and melt-in-your-mouth good. But lately, I’ve been craving that classic ranch flavor and realized…why not make ranch wings? I already had a homemade ranch seasoning on hand, and the rest came together fast. Whether you’re hosting friends, feeding the family, or just craving a salty, finger-licking snack, this easy chicken wing recipe always hits the spot.
Tips for Success
- Before seasoning, pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Dry skin = crispier wings!
- If you’re using frozen wings, be sure to thaw them fully in the fridge overnight before cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan. Wings need space to crisp up properly—if they’re too close together, they’ll steam instead of roast. Use two pans if needed or cook in batches for the best texture.

How to Cook Ranch Chicken Wings Step by Step

Gather the Ingredients: Gather all the ingredients together and preheat the oven to 425°F.

Season the Wings: Place 3 ½ to 4 lbs of chicken wings into a large bowl. Add 3 tbsp of olive oil and 1 ½ packets (or 1.5 oz) of ranch seasoning. Toss to fully coat the wings.

Prepare for Baking: Spread the seasoned chicken wings evenly on a large parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake the Wings: Place the wings in the oven on the middle rack and bake for 20 minutes. Flip the wings over and bake for another 15-20 minutes until they’re golden brown and crispy. For even better airflow, bake them on a wire rack set over a sheet pan.

Garnish and Serve: Serve the wings on a platter sprinkled with fresh chives and a side of ranch dressing. Enjoy!

How to Store and Reheat
If you have any leftovers store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Whenever I reheat chicken wings I like to use the air fryer or oven to maintain their crispy texture. Reheat in the air fryer at 375° for 5-6 minutes. Reheat in the oven at 350° for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
To store for longer, freeze the wings in a freezer-safe container or bag—they’ll keep well for up to 2 months. If you’ve got extra sauce, freeze it separately or whip up a fresh batch when you reheat the wings.
Serving Suggestions
It’s never a bad time to serve chicken wings as an appetizer. Whenever I’m having people over, whether it’s last minute or planned, I know I can whip up a batch of wings, and everyone will be happy. They’re the perfect finger food for game days, weeknight apps, or even a fun afternoon snack when the kids have friends over. I usually round things out with some veggie sticks and dips or pair the wings with other easy bites like these potato skin bites . If I’m going all out, I’ll also add bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers or warm, cheesy ham and cheese sliders to the mix.
