I am a big fan of mixing sweet and savory flavors, so I love to make this Snickers apple salad to go along with a savory meal. This delicious salad makes a great side dish or dessert for a crowd and takes just minutes to make. I loaded it up with fresh apples, chopped Snickers candy bars, caramel sauce, and a creamy cheesecake “dressing”. It’s a great recipe to use up leftover Halloween candy, and I love that it encourages my kids to enjoy something healthy along with their candy.

If you are looking for a crowd-pleasing dessert for the holidays, you can’t go wrong with this Snickers apple salad. It takes just 30 minutes to make, and it’s a delicious potluck dish ! Sweet and salty Snickers bars go so well with tart and sweet green apples. Trust me, everyone will love this sweet salad.
What’s in This Snickers Apple Salad Recipe?
- Apples: I like to make this recipe with Granny Smith apples. They are firm and tart and balance great with the sweet candy. Jonagold, Honeycrisp or Braeburn will all work well too.
- Snickers Candy Bars : Add the perfect sweet and nutty flavor to this salad.
- Cheesecake Instant Pudding Mix: Thickens the cream cheese and infuses it with flavor. I used Jell-O brand, but any kind will work as long as it is cheesecake flavored.
- Cream Cheese: Makes this salad rich, creamy, and tangy.
- Vanilla Extract : Enhances the sweet flavor of the salad.
- Whipped Topping : Lightens up the cream cheese and makes the salad fluffy. I used Cool Whip , but any kind will do. Just make sure to thaw if it is frozen.
- Caramel Sauce : Adds a delightful sweetness to the salad.
- Chocolate Sauce : Enhances the chocolatey flavor of the Snickers.

Tips for Success
- Cut the apples into small and similar sized chunks. They should be roughly the same size as the pieces of Snickers bar so that everything combines evenly when you mix it.
- If you want to make this further ahead of time, toss the apple pieces in a little lemon juice so that they don’t oxidize and brown to quickly.
How to Store
Store leftover Snickers apple salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Serving Suggestions
This Snickers apple salad makes a great light dessert after a holiday meal . It’s also a great snack during the day, and it even makes a great side dish for bonfires or barbecues. I like it as a sweet side for my favorite St. Louis ribs !
